"Advisor Update #5: Pivoting Lead Sources and 22 Days Left"

Michael Pichardo December 1, 2021 Updated May 26, 2026

November came and went with 3 proposals and 0 conversions. I'm shifting from in-person events to online outreach with 22 days left to hit $9K.

December's greetings! Happy belated thanksgiving and happy hanukkah. No new revenue was made in November for the Automation Consulting Challenge.

I made proposals to 3 qualified leads, none converted into clients.

Primary KPI: Revenue = 0

Secondary KPI: Face to Face engagements 26, +7 this month

Challenges:

  • Spending time talking to people who are not the best target customers.
  • Shifting from networking at in-person events to online outreach as my primary lead source.

Here are three ideas for getting better quality leads:

  • Social media alerts: With F5Bot, I can set up alerts from all social media platforms & have it message me whenever my keywords are mentioned so I can join the conversation.
  • Linkedin: Target business owners who are in the secondary linkedin network.
  • Twitter: Outreach to business owners who follow ecommerce influencers.

How you can help:

  • Reply to this email with a number 1 through 3 based on the lead source should I pursue first. (So type #1 if I should use F5bot).
  • Do you have any other ideas that I can use to find clients?
  • Would love to do a brainstorming session with any sales hackers. If you know a guy/gal, can you introduce me?

Special thanks to my friend David for being awesome and going out of his way to introduce me to a prospective client.

Other news:

  • My friend Javier from Cuota.io has a B2B SaaS Sales bootcamp for Founders, SDRs, Account Executives, Account Managers and any other commercial role looking to best understand and master the entire SaaS sales cycle.
  • My friend Dannil is looking for beta users of companies who struggle with knowledge management for his startup General Symbol
  • I have 22 days to make $9K if we exclude holidays. It's possible with the right client.

Grateful for your support on the entrepreneurship journey.
