"Advisor Update #6: Q4 2021 Results and Restarting the Challenge"

Michael Pichardo January 1, 2022 Updated May 26, 2026

Final Q4 2021 numbers — $700 revenue, 57 engagements, 17 hours read. Missed the goal. Restarting for Q1 2022 with Twitter as the new distribution channel.

Happy 2022. Wishing you a great year ahead! Thank you so much for keeping me motivated last year. Sending out this monthly email helps me remember you guys are rooting for me.

That being said: No new revenue was made in December for the Automation Consulting Challenge.

Q4 2021 12-week Challenge results:

  • Revenue: $700
  • Face to Face engagements: 57
  • Hours Read: 17

Although my goal was to hit $10K revenue by the end of Q4, I'm going to re-start the challenge for Q1 2022 with a deadline of March 31, 2022.

Part of the goal of this challenge is to connect with business owners at an executive level and find a problem that can be solved with a tech integration that I am skilled and equipped to solve for. I've had sales calls, but not enough. So kicking up the sourcing process is going to be a priority these next couple days.

I think Twitter is going to be a good source or magnet for getting my target clients to come to me. I am seriously considering cold messaging ecommerce owners on twitter and writing twitter threads.

I want to thank my friend Ryan who reached out with an opportunity for Automation work for his agency.

How you can help:

If you have any friends who have an ecommerce store and have a lack of integration, I'd love to talk to them. Or a friend with a general problem in their business, that works too!!

If you are working as a 1 man team, what are some tactics you use to help you stay motivated and focused on one goal?

Other news:

  • New website is live: AutomateInstantly.com. (This is only v1 people!, coded fully by me in html which is why it's buggy)
  • Joined a slack group/mastermind organized by Andrew Davison of Automation Experts like me who are in a similar position so I'm excited about it.
  • Finished Spin Selling book, half-way through reading The Challenger Sale book
  • Gaining more experience with Frontend development (ReactJS) every day

Grateful for your support on the entrepreneurship journey.
