"Advisor Update #9: Going Deep on Frontend Engineering at REEF"

Michael Pichardo May 1, 2022 Updated May 26, 2026

March and April were about building real features at REEF — going from no-code tools to ReactJS, Node, and GraphQL on internal apps used company-wide.

Hope this email finds you well!

In the months of March and April:

  • I was very active in the Miami tech events meeting investors and founders
  • I've also been evaluating potential next opportunities

At Reef, I've been cranking out feature work for Frontend Engineering which has been fulfilling. I went from only knowing the no-code tools to building key features in an app REEF uses internally to manage their network of Real Estate. The stack is ReactJS, node, GraphQL

Big shoutout to my friend Ed who connected me with a founder friend who's trying to solve lending between friends and family--which people often say you either lose the friend or lose the money. Difficult problem to solve!

How you can help:

If you're in Miami and would like to be invited to a recurring once a month tech happy hour in Miami Beach, can you reply to this email?

Other news:

  • Set up an automated way of Dollar cost average buying Bitcoin with 0.1% fees (the lowest rate for retail investors) using AWS Lambda functions and a python script
  • Leveraged No-Code and Airtable to automate the filtering and sorting process for Scholarship Application portal of the Association of Cuban American Engineers
  • Finished Challenger Sale book
  • Started The Almanack Of Naval Ravikant

Grateful for your support on the entrepreneurship journey.
